They want a demo
Visitor Asks for a Demo Immediately
Situation: A visitor walks up and says, “Can you show me the product?”
What to do:
- Pause before opening the full demo.
- Ask 2–3 discovery questions.
- Show the parts that match their interest.
Useful questions:
- “What are you using today?”
- “What would you like to improve?”
- “Are you more interested in email, collaboration, security or deployment?”
Lesson: Demo what matters. A short relevant demo is better than a full product tour.
10. Demo or Discuss

PRESALESSALES
Demo only after you understand what the visitor wants to see.
A good demo can be short. Show the part that answers their question.
DISCOVER → DEMO OR DISCUSS → DEFINE NEXT STEP
Visitors may join an ongoing demo. That is fine. Give them enough context so they are not lost.
“We’re looking at TeamChat and file sharing now. I can give you the short version, then we can go deeper if useful.”
If there are multiple demo stations, use them during busy moments. Keep them ready and locked when unattended.
