What to do:

• Say you want to verify it.
• Capture the exact question.
• Capture who asked it.
• Assign or escalate it to the right person.
• Set a clear next step.

What to say:

“I don’t want to guess. I’ll verify this and get back to you.”

Lesson: Don’t guess. A clear follow-up is stronger than a wrong answer.
